Therapy licenses usually take about 1 full month to get. It seems like I always run into trouble when someone wants to go to a far off place. That is what traveling is all about, but a license can hold you up and may even mean you will miss out on a great contracted job. I always suggest to all travelers that if they have a location in mind then to get the license before hand. Halo will pay for it when it comes time to take the assignment. A little investment on the front end can be the difference in a great job at the perfect location, or missing out and having to take your second choice. If you have questions about the state licensing process please let me know, I have worked in almost every state and can give you either the time frame or at least the information you will need in order to acquire any state license.
Halo offers the best benefits of any other staffing agency. I can safely say that because I know what the bill rates are at certain facilities and I know what travelers should be paid. Halo’s rates are comparable with any other staffing agency and we offer earned PTO hours, 80% of your insurance paid, 401K, and personal 24 hour customer support. Most agencies will take away from your rate to offer you these things; but with Halo you will get that high rate and all these benefits as well. At Halo you will always get a straight forward rate with everything in writing. This is your professional career, you are not trying to buy a used car. For travel nursing, travel therapy, and travel radiology positions there is only one choice. Halo Staffing.
I recently was in bed for two straight days due to the flu and it was an experience that I hope I never have to repeat. Everyone has a very busy schedule and it is tough to just stay home when flu season comes around. Here are six simple ways to cut down on your chances of catching anything.
1. Keep your distance and avoid contact with people that are sick
2. Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze. If you can’t do that turn away from other people and aim your face to the ground, and use a tissue whenever possible.
3. Wash your hands often to protect you from germs.
4. Avoid toughing your nose, mouth, and eyes.
5. To keep your immune system healthy get plenty of sleep, eat fresh fruit and vegetables, exercise regularly, drink 8 glasses of water a day, and do your best to keep stress levels as low as possible.
6. If your sick stay home and rest. You will not only get better faster but you will not spread the disease as much.
Good luck with the rest of the season, here is a link that I found from CNN that has a lot of information on it.

As tax time approaches I have already been confronted several times with question after question about taxes. Being a traveler you will find that you will have a much more to do around tax time than the common citizen. With tax free incentives, per diem, travel allotments, most people will spend their time going over receipts and other information and the whole time they might not have the knowledge to avoid the “A” word. Most major tax companies will have a person that is an expert for your particular field; but if you go to someone like a small town accountant they might miss thousands in write-offs. Tax time can be a puzzling process, but if you have the knowledge you can make this process as routine as signing on with Halo Staffing.
